2025 Global Broadcast & Peace Day Conversation
September 20-21, 2025
What does Peace Mean to You?

Unite 4 Peace – 2025 Global Peace Broadcast

The Unite 4 Peace Global Peace Broadcast is a 48-hour, worldwide interactive event held September 19–21, 2025, in honor of Pathways to Peace, co-founders of the United Nations’ International Day of Peace and their 40 years of global peacebuilding.

Spanning all 22 regions of the world, the broadcast weaves together music, cultural traditions, and citizen voices, all centered on one guiding question: “What does Peace mean to me?” Each hour features stories, performances, and grassroots initiatives led by regional NGOs, with live technical production anchored from Vancouver. A unifying Pause for Peace at the top of every hour honors those who have given their lives for peace, creating a rhythm of remembrance and solidarity.

The goal is to build a living tapestry of humanity’s shared longing for peace, amplifying local voices on a global stage and inspiring millions to see themselves as co-creators of a more unified and compassionate world.

On September 21, the world will come together for a 24-hour shared experience and global broadcast, linking major events from San Francisco, New York, Geneva, London, Addis Ababa, and beyond—guided by youth hosts around the world. Together, we will observe a Pause for Peace at the top of every hour, connecting people across cultures and time zones in a unified moment of reflection and solidarity.

With an estimated reach of over 3 billion people, the International Day of Peace stands as humanity’s most universal “planetary day.” The Unite Us Live Global Peace Broadcast offers a historic opportunity to amplify diverse voices, spotlight grassroots peacebuilding, and inspire collective action for a more compassionate and united world.

Together, we will weave a living tapestry of peace. Together, we will UNITE 4 PEACE.

UNITE 4 PEACE

WE WILL UNITE

September 2025 represents an unmissable opportunity to UNITE 4 PEACE. Building on many decades of pioneering peace work, this International Day of Peace on September 21st marks the 40th anniversary of the first global celebration, which took place back in 1984.
